When you think of art in the City of Philadelphia, you might think of The Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Rodin Museum. Art is everywhere in Philly, but sometimes the greatest stories of art go untold.
You would be amazed at what something called the Fae Art Gallery has to offer. The Fae Art Collection is held in the private home of Charles and Deborah Bobroff, and represents one of the finest private art collections in the city. It includes works by known Philadelphia artists such as Paul Gorka, Peter Potoma, David (Eo) Omwake, Leon Kelly, Jack Gerber, Peter Paone, and abstract works by Mr. Bobroff (a.k.a. Zachary Fae) himself. Other works in the collection are by more world renowned artists, including Salvador Dali, Francis Bacon, Oskar Kokoshka, and Ferdinand Leger. And other greats, including abstract painter Sally Chase, figurative artists Ulrick Jean Pierre and Mihail Chemiakin, landscape artist Marco Sassone, and surrealist Paul Wunderlich, are present.
For fifty years, Mr. and Mrs. Bobroff have accrued the special collection of works in this gallery, and they have made this work available to the public for viewing, free of charge.
They are also offering select works of art for sale. Each piece is exclusive and one of a kind, and represents an investment in both the artistic legacy of Philadelphia, and the relentless passion of those who champion it.
